Is a Gap Year Abroad worth it?
November 16, 2007
More and more employers are acknowledging the merits of organizing a year-out Gap Year Program. By doing a career break abroad on a gap-year shows that the person is determined, resourceful and has gained a good measure of maturity and independence during this experience.
Taking a gap year abroad is far more common in the UK than it is in North America. North American version of taking a gap year abroad is often given a negative tone, emphasizing the school or work that a person is missing. North American attitudes can make it more difficult for students who want to take some time off. But things are changing and also in North America employers are realising the benefits in terms of personal growth a person gains from taking a year out.
A Gap Year can be the perfect opportunity to build on your skills and experience for your career. It may be that you just want to gain some work skills to put on your CV, alternatively you may be looking to improve in a specific area such as learning a language or gaining experience in particular field like community charity work. These days many employers will see the benefits of a year out in terms of you gaining experience as a person.
Vacation Locations For Surfing Enthusiast: Fiji & California
November 16, 2007
Some surfers schedule their vacations for a particular time of the year because the destination that they have chosen to go to is located in a location that is in the path of storms which cause high sea conditions. A seasoned surfer will find this sort of vacation to be very invigorating and when the location is in a place such as Bali, they are sure to enjoy the scenery as much as the surfing they will get to do.
For a surfing enthusiast, it is not uncommon for them to travel around the world in search of big waves and warm weather. Surfers can be ready to travel on a moment’s notice to any tropical environment because they do not always travel with surfboards that could cause problems for the airline baggage handlers. Seasoned surfers know that they can rent surfboards at any beach location that is perfect for surfing and with rental insurance, they do not have to be worried about losing it in the surf.

November 16, 2007
Holiday insurance is also known to some as travel insurance, which is a policy every vacationer should seriously consider taking and include into their travel budget. Having holiday insurance cover will protect you against emergencies and travel delays such as unanticipated illness, injury or death, loss or theft of luggage and personal possessions as well as flight or trip interruptions, including cancellation. These events can cost you a small fortune if you do not take out a policy that provides insurance to meet any financial expenses that may arise unexpectedly during your vacation. Situated on the opposite side of the island’s southern peninsular, near Denpasar, Sanur has a long history dating back to 913 AD, the details of which are inscribed on an ancient stone pillar, namely, Prasasti Blanjong, which in turn is enshrined in a glass case at the rear of Blanjong on Jalan Danau Poso in the south side of the town.
